About Us
The ProShot & Tidal Sports team is made up of a small group of ocean advocates who love to snorkel, scuba dive, and explore the underwater world. Founded in 2015 as LASO Technologies by four University of Vermont alumni with a shared passion for the outdoors and adventure, they decided the iPhone camera was hard to beat so they set out to create a rugged, waterproof, mountable case for people to bring their iPhone anywhere (including 130 feet underwater!). Combining the concept of a GoPro for hands-free filming with the iPhone's advanced camera, our flagship product, the ProShotCase, was born.
Based out of Massachusetts (USA), our co-founder Andrew now runs the business with his wife, Sophie. In 2019, having now used their own ProShotCases on hundreds of dives and snorkels, Sophie & Andrew were constantly bothered by foggy masks and the lack of long-term, sustainable anti-fog solutions. After years of research and product testing, they succeeded at developing an incredibly effective, long lasting anti-fog technology for snorkel and dive masks: enter the Tidal Mask.
LASO Technologies runs both ProShot & Tidal Sports. Sophie & Andrew and the rest of the team travel all over the world using their own ProShot & Tidal Sports gear. They hope to see you somewhere out there on or in the water!

What is your return policy?You can return any item within 30 days of the purchase date. Each item must be unused and in the original packaging. The buyer will be responsible for return shipping. Who makes ProShotCase?ProShotCase was created in 2015 by LASO Technologies, LLC a Boston based company. The company was founded on the belief that there is no need to spend hundreds of dollars on an action sports camera when you already have an amazing camera in your pocket at all times.

How has ProShotCase been tested?We have spent the last two years designing, redesigning, and thoroughly testing the case in every situation we could imagine. We have taken ProShot scuba diving on countless dives without a single leaking case. We have shot it with paintballs from 6 inches away and simply rinsed it off when we were done. Although we do not recommend it, we have dropped our case 20 feet while rock climbing and the only damage was a small scratch. The ProShot Case was created to protect your phone no matter what happens. Additionally, we test each and every case in a pressurized machine that simulates the water pressure of the maximum allowed depth of the ProShot Touch (50 feet) and ProShot Dive (130 feet).

What happens if I break my phone?Leakage rarely ever happens and we ensure that we provide all the necessary info to prevent a leak from occurring. We test each and every case before they leave our factory in a pressurized machine that simulates the water pressure of the maximum depth for each of our products. If your phone was to break due to water damage due to a product defect, the replacement of your phone would be covered by our ProShot Protection Guarantee.

How should I take care of my ProShotCase?Saltwater is extremely corrosive and it is very important to rinse your case with fresh water after each saltwater use. Do not leave your case in direct sunlight for extended periods of time when possible. Always rinse your ProShotCase with fresh water after every use and let it air dry. This will remove any salt residue on your lens area and will keep your seals and gaskets clean from sand so they remain intact and watertight. Severe impacts may damage the gasket that is instrumental in protecting your phone. Always re-test the waterproof capabilities of your case after a crash or drop. We recommend occasionally using silicon oil to lubricate the gasket. If silicon oil is not available, Vaseline, chapstick, or oil-based lotion can work as a substitute. Can the ProShot perform well under extreme conditions? What about when it is freezing?Absolutely. One of our primary focuses was to ensure that ProShot will protect your phone and allow it to remain fully functional on cold mountain summits, the hottest beach, and deep underwater. Our cases insulate the phone, and when combined with the heat generated by your phone when recording a video, can last several hours in even the harshest conditions. In extreme heat, keep your phone out of direct sunlight whenever possible. The ProShotCase is made to protect your iPhone from Saltwater, sand, snow, and all other harsh elements.

ProShot Touch Case VS ProShot Dive CaseWe have 2 ProShotCases available and their prices vary depending on the model. ProShot Touch Case- is compatible with iPhones 6-12 Pro (each iPhone has its own case model). It is rated to the depth of 50 ft and has no time limit for long it can be submerged. It is also touch screen compatible above water. It costs $119.99. ProShot Dive Case- universal iPhone Case- is compatible with ALL iPhones. It is rated to the depth of 130 ft and has no time limit for long it can be submerged. It's not touch screen compatible above water. The Dive case also has a red filter (add-on) that comes in a pack of 3 red shades to correct your underwater photos/videos. It costs 159.99+ if red filter is added. ALL ProShotCases (both models) come with a wrist strap, a floating hand grip, a travel case, a free underwater camera App (important for all underwater filming + an editing feature within the App), and an iPhone Protection Guarantee. I have iPhone 13's line/ 14's line, which ProShotCase would fit?We do have the ProShot Dive Case that is compatible with ALL iPhone models! It is rated to the depth of 130 ft/40m and has a red filter (add-on) option too. They are compatible with iPhones up to 6-14's line. The ProShot Dive Case includes a wrist strap, a floating handgrip, a travel case, and our iPhone Protection Guarantee.

Do I have to use the App in order to film underwater?The 'ProShotCase' Camera App is essential to use for all underwater photography. As soon as you go underwater, touch screens are not able to react to your touch anymore, so we created a camera app specifically to use with our case in the water! Our camera app, called "ProShotCase", will change your phone's volume buttons into camera controls and allow you full camera access in the water! Within our ‘ProShotCase’ camera app, Volume (+) will take a pic, start/stop a video, etc., and Volume (-) will cycle through your camera modes. Which Tidal Mask would fit me?We would recommend the Dual Lens Tidal Mask for those who have prominent facial features or a larger nose. Will the Tidal Mask Fit?We designed this mask to fit the vast majority of people so I am sure it will work fine for you! The actual dimensions for the Dual Lens Tidal Mask are below. Width: 6.75 inches at the widest point Height 4.25 inches at the widest point depth: 2.5 inches at the widest point If you have a smaller face Single Lens Tidal Tidal Mask will work best for someone with less prominent facial features. What's Included with the Tidal Mask?The inside of the Tidal Mask comes treated with a proprietary hydrophilic technology which prevents fogging in any circumstance! The Tidal Mask also includes a Tidal Anti-Fog Spray + Lens Cleaner, a protective travel case, and 1-yr warranty. The anti-fog treatment will last for hundreds of dives and is also replaceable if it wears off after heavy consistent use. We offer Anti-Fog Film replacements in a pack of 3. Why does the Tidal Mask come with an Anti-Fog Spray if it's already an Anti-Fog Mask?Our anti-fog film is long lasting and works really well but over time its anti-fog properties will degrade slightly. Our anti-fog spray helps to restore the films hydrophilic capabilities and adheres much better to our anti-fog films compared to spraying tempered glass directly (without our films). It extends the life of our anti-fog films to years instead of months. Additionally, if you didn't get the chance to clean your mask with fresh water between each use, the anti-fog spray acts as a cleaner while you're out and about enjoying a long day in the water. How do I clean my Tidal Mask?Rinsing the mask thoroughly with fresh water after every use works great (and is necessary), but once in a while it also helps to use dish soap to clean the inside lenses of the Tidal Mask. Gently rubbing dish soap around the inside of your mask with your finger will help remove any leftover salt and/or oil dried onto the lenses. We find that the Tidal Mask will start to fog a little bit if there is any dried salt on the inside of the lens or water droplets (fog) to cling to. What is the difference between the tinted lens mask and the clear lens mask?The amber-tinted lenses offer color rendering, improved color contrast, reduced sun glare, and eye strain protection. It will work great for sunny days and only slightly reduces the amount of light that penetrates the lenses. It will be fine on cloudy days as well. Dry Snorkel or Wet Snorkel?The Tidal Roll-Up wet Snorkel is a perfect snorkel option for anyone who is freediving, scuba diving, and snorkeling. Great for travel as it fits in the pocket of a BCD. If you're new to snorkeling, however, we recommend our Tidal Dry Snorkel so no water will enter the breathing tube. Here's more info on Choosing the Right Snorkel.

How to save battery life and get the best out of my ProShotCase Camera App?Make sure the phone is 100% charged before a big day out. Use Sleep mode on the app between dives/swims (if keeping the phone in the case), we have Sleep mode built into the app so when underwater with the app open, you can activate Sleep mode (by clicking volume up hovering over that mode) and it will turn your screen off and conserve battery between photos/videos. You can click either volume button to turn the screen back on and the phone will open back up right in the app. If there’s time/it’s safe to remove the phone from the case between dives/swims, then it’s good to do that and turn the display off with the power button before its next use. Turn airplane mode on on the phone before putting it into the case. This will help battery life significantly and will also stop any phone notifications coming through while diving, which can be distracting. Turn off location services in the ‘ProShotCase’ app settings (found in the iPhone Settings app) will also slow the battery usage on a long day out. Close all other apps running on your phone while you're on the app as this can cause your iPhone to overheat. Do you have cases for Android?We do not have cases for Android phones at the moment due to the immense cost of tooling for new phone models. We are a small company and started with designing and manufacturing waterproof cases for iPhone's due to their similarity & consistency in size. At the moment, Android has a large number of different phone models and sizes, so creating a different case for each model was not economically practical. We do hope to create cases for Android phones in the future, but do not have any info on a release date.

Do your cases float?All of our cases come with a floating hand grip accessory included, which can mount to the outside of our case to keep it afloat. As long as you have the floating hand grip attached to your case, your case/iPhone will float!
