Tidal Mask & Goggles Instructions & After Care

To Clean: Rinse the entire mask/ goggles with fresh water after every use and let air dry. For best results, use dish soap to remove any excess salt and oil from the lenses. It helps to gently rub your finger with soapy water on the inside lens/anti-fog films.

*Keeping your mask clean is the key to keeping the anti-fog technology working properly!*

What To Do🟢 :  Peel off your Anti-Fog Film's protective layer and jump in! After time, to restore your film's anti-fog properties, we recommend using the included Tidal Anti-Fog Spray with Our Films: Our Tidal Anti-Fog Spray functions both as an anti-fog solution and a lens cleaner, ensuring clear vision during your dives.

Preparation Before Use:

1. Spray a light coating of Tidal Anti-Fog Spray onto the inside of your mask lens.
2. Rinse the mask with fresh water or dunk it briefly in fresh water to ensure even coverage.

Post-Dive Care:

1. After your dive, thoroughly clean your mask's lens with fresh water and dish soap if needed.
2. Allow the mask to air dry completely before placing it back into its protective travel case.

Following these steps will help maintain optimal clarity and performance of your mask, enhancing your diving experience.

Storage: *Necessary* Keep your mask stored inside the protective case when not in use. If you are storing for long periods of time, make sure the mask is completely dry before storing in case as excessive moisture can cause the anti-fog film to degrade faster. Store away from direct sunlight.

What NOT To Do🔴:  Do NOT scrub, burn, scratch, or aggressively wipe the inside lens of your mask. You may gently rub the inside lens with soapy water to remove any stubborn salt or oil that is not removed by rinsing.

How To Replace the Dual Lens Tidal Mask's Anti-Fog Films

Step 1. Peel off the old anti-fog film that is adhered to the inside lens. You may need to use your fingernail to get under the film. Lift it upwards and peel it off the lens.

Step 2.  Thoroughly clean the lens. You can use any standard glass cleaner or soap and water. Use a soft cloth (clean t-shirt works great) to dry and make sure there are no dust particles on the lens. Do not use paper towels or tissue paper as these can leave dust particles behind.

Step 3. Prepare the new anti-fog film. Make sure to use the correct film for the correct lens. They are labeled left and right as if you are looking through the mask. The colorful tabs will be positioned on the top inside of the lens (near the bridge of the nose!).

Step 4. Peel the new film off of the base layer. Make sure NOT to pull the colorful tab as this is a protective covering that will not be removed until the end. Tip: Try not to touch the adhesive side of the film if possible.

Step 5.  Carefully align the new film on the lens. Make sure there is a little space around the entire perimeter of the film before you let go! Once the film is in the proper position, let go and it will adhere to the lens.

Step 6. Use a cloth to massage out any air bubbles. If the lens was fully cleaned you should be able to easily remove any bubbles after the application.

Step 7. Once you are ready to use your mask in the water, make sure to pull the colorful tabs to remove the protective layer. Enjoy your fog-free Tidal Mask for months!

How to Attach the Tidal Snorkel to your Tidal Mask

Tidal Roll-Up Snorkel

The Tidal Roll-Up Snorkel is a perfect snorkel option for anyone who is freediving, scuba diving, and snorkeling. Great for travel as it fits in the pocket of a BCD. If you're new to snorkeling, however, we recommend our Tidal Dry Snorkel so no water will enter the breathing tube.

Tidal Dry Snorkel

Attaching the Tidal Dry Snorkel to a mask is simple with its comfort swivel adapter. The two-part piece allows the snorkel to rotate and can be attached to a mask in any position, including horizontally. The comfort swivel is two-way adjustable along the snorkel tube for enhanced comfort when attached to a mask.
